The Internet continues to get flooded with reports stating that Ajay Devgn was supposed to be a part of ‘Adipurush’ and some have even gone ahead to say that he declined the offer primarily because he was asked to play Raavan while he was keen to play the role of Lord Ram.

Now, Ajay’s spokesperson has rubbished all the reports. Ajay has not been asked to play either Lord Ram or the antagonist Raavan. ETimes exclusively brings you Ajay’s spokesperson’s official quote: “Mr Devgn has not been approached by the makers of ‘Adipurush’ for any character in it.”

Earlier, there were even reports that Ajay will play Lord Shiva in ‘Adipurush’

‘Adipurush’ is the Ramayan adaptation of Om Raut, who directed the big hit ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ starring Devgn and Saif Ali Khan. Prabhas has been finalised to play Lord Ram and Saif will play Lankesh.

Talking about ‘Adipurush’, Prabhas had said, “Every role and every character comes with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our epic, especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film.”

Whether Om Raut has some new surprise for Devgn in ‘Adipurush’ in the days to come, only time will tell.
