The Ekadashi that falls in the Ashwin Shukla Paksha is known as Papankusha Ekadashi. The devotees worship Lord Vishnu on the day of Ekadashi. It’s said that those who do Ekadashi fast attain Moksha (liberation from the cycle of birth, death and rebirth).
The Vishnu mantra chanted on this day is – “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya”
