CHENNAI: With the second wave of the pandemic raging, auto companies have been offering warranty and service extension. Companies like Maruti and Tata Motors have already made announcements to that effect. The latest to make similar announcements are Renault India and Yamaha.
In a statement on Thursday, Renault announced that “in line with its commitment to customer satisfaction and in order to mitigate the challenges faced by customers in current times, Renault India has announced extension on warranty and periodic free service schedules for its customers. The extension would be applicable to free service and warranty period expiring between April 1, 2021 and May 31, 2021. These services will be extended till July 31, 2021. Renault India’s 24X7 roadside assistance continues to ensure support for its customers in case of an emergency,” said the statement.
Similarly as a part of the Yamaha Lifetime Quality Care approach, Yamaha has announced it will extend benefits related to service and warranty till June 30, 2021, from the date of expiry. Yamaha will extend the free services expiring during the lockdown till June 30, 2021. Normal warranty expiring during the lockdown, will be extended till June 30, 2021.Extended warranty expiring during the lockdown, will be extended till June 30 and the annual maintenance contract expiring during the lockdown, will also be extended.
“All Yamaha dealerships have also been notified to ensure that these benefits are passed on to our customers in a hassle-free manner,” the company said in a statement.
